Last Friday after work we headed to the Brews and BBQ in downtown Newberg. We decided it would be the perfect way to end the week…beer, BBQ, and good music!

We received drink tickets with our entry fee and tried beers from Chehalem Valley Brewing, Seven Brides Brewing, Three Mugs Brewing, Deception Brewing, and Fire Mountain Brewing. The music was great! The band Network covered all sorts of classic 1980 hits and I caught myself signing along.

My favorite beer of the night was the Seven Brides Strawberry Blonde. We’ll be making a trip to Silverton to check out the tap room. I loved the story behind the name of the Seven Brides, apparently three Dads and Two Uncles will eventually be marrying their seven total daughters, thus Seven Brides Brewing!

It was a happy evening in Newberg and this head cut out board sums it up…Newberg, a “Grape” place!
