Once we installed the paver patio last summer, I just knew we needed some patio lights at the back of the yard in order to utilize that space throughout the summer and into the evenings. The Renaissance Man and I had been keeping our eye out for lights and were happy when we spotted some at Costco that we thought would do the trick.
I recruited my Dad to help us make it all happen. With a quick sketch and some measuring we started to string the lights.
My Dad used some extra special stainless steel wire to help us string all of the lights. The wire came from my Grandpa Dutch who was a lineman, and my Dad brought it out just for this occasion!
It was hot on Saturday, so we did our best to stay in the shade. My Dad says hello!
And here are the lights that we picked up at Costco! We ended up needing three boxes to complete our project.
We went back and forth…forth and back…across the patio with lights.
We ended up having several extra feet of string lights so we decided to wrap them around the outside of the shed.
And here is the almost finished product. We ended up with four spans of lights all anchored off of the shed.
And here it is at night, I am so happy with how it all turn out!!!
We’re looking forward to our first summer party!
