Shopping for holiday gifts can be so much fun! Especially if you keep things local.
This year we decided to purchase gifts that showcase our new home town and the bounty of the Willamette Valley. With that in mind, it gave me an excuse to go exploring places that I haven’t had a chance to visit. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about the Rain Dance Marketplace, so last Saturday we made a point to drive out OR219 to find the “Red Barn!”
Once inside, I was blown away by an enormous room of wonderfully delightful gifts, many produced by local artisans.
The Rain Dance Marketplace was full of all things “Holiday Cheer!”
I fell in love with this salmon ornament, he’s going to make the perfect gift.
The Renaissance Man was super impressed with this rocking chair. I think the hardest part of holiday shopping is remembering that your buying gifts for “other people.” Maybe that just means that I need to get out and go shopping for myself a little bit more often!? ha!
All sorts of fun children gifts!
And nothing beats sunshine streaming in through the enormous sliding garage door. We managed to take care of most of our shopping at Rain Dance Marketplace and I’ll be back to buy home decor for upcoming holidays throughout the year. If you happen to be in Newberg, be sure to stop by and visit!
