All morning, I could hear the roar of a crowd, the crack of a bat, and general excitement coming from The Billick Dundee School Park. As I spent my morning out on our patio moving pots around, repotting things, and planting several starts, the sporadic cheers had me smiling!
I continued to work away in the yard and was happy with my progress; I now have two lovely pots with different kinds of mint, and am looking forward to mojitos later in the summer. Our basil plants are starting to peak their heads out of the ground, and the strawberry pot is going wild!
After finishing up on the patio, I headed to the park. The sound of fun was just too enticing! Since moving to Dundee, Billick Park has been one of my favorite places to walk after a long day at work or early on a weekend morning. The park has almost everything a kid, or “kid at heart” could want…a playground, two baseball fields, skate park, two tennis courts, basketball court, and covered picnic area.
Is anything better than little kids playing baseball in the park? Watching the parents encourage their kids, listening to the coaches call out plays, and seeing the dog walkers stop and enjoy the game was all so wonderful, the park is open for Summer!
