The path is complete! The path is complete!
All I want to do is run around our neighborhood like the town crier and let everyone know it’s done. It’s been one heck of a busy week, but it’s done. Check out Part One and Part Two for the whole story!
I went to work on Friday, and while away, the gravel was moved into place by The Renaissance Man and one of his good friends from college. Moving concrete might be bad, but moving 1/4 minus gravel is even worse. With the lack of voids due to gravel size, this becomes some of the heaviest wheelbarrow loads you’ll ever make.
The finished product looks ah-maz-ing! They got all of the gravel moved into place, watered it down and then rented a compactor to tamp it into place. The path is rock hard and is exactly what we had envisioned a few months back. Who knew gravel could be the “icing on the cake?”
Cross this yard project off the list! I’ve be skipping up and down the path all weekend.
